SEARCH FOR SIGNS BY HANDSHAPE continued...
Web-based searching system from Belgium

Please see the attached diagram...This shows Belgian hand groups 4-6,
based on how many fingers are extended or how many fingers are active
or important to a handshape...I call these ACTION FINGERS...in other
words...the fingers that are giving meaning, and help you recognize the
handshape...In the 4-finger category, for example, the E handshape
really doesn't have four fingers extended, but there are four fingers
that give meaning to that handshape...so it is placed in the 4-finger
group...
