Dear SW List -
I have to run to an appointment, so I cannot answer your interesting
messages right now about handwriting, and I know you all know a lot
about what I would say anyway - ha! But one point...As you know the
Shorthand was used with success in the 1980's and the only reason I
have not scanned the 40 page book that taught the Shorthand, and post
it on the web, is because Dr. karen van Hoek and I wanted to update it
first, to match the new way we are writing now...but we never got to
it...and so I think I should have that old book scanned so you can see
what I am talking about...that Shorthand could benefit your
discussion...you can see a little here in general with the attached
diagram...and Shorthand is not handwriting...but all this will work its
way through someday...the IMWA has taken my time lately...but there
should be a handwriting symbol for every symbol in the IMWA
someday...many thanks to Sandy and everyone for this discussion...and I
will respond tomorrow! smile...Have a wonderful evening...Val ;-)
