Yes! Everything is mended! We understand each other ;-)))

I understand it is hard with English dictionaries, because in English,
the word SIGN has many different meanings. It can mean ...to use a pen
with paper and write your name on paper.... But SIGN can also mean
...the beautiful movements of Sign Language..... So those are two
different meanings. When you take a pen and sign your name on paper,
that is called a SIGNATURE. So I guess that a dictionary confused
you...but now you know that it is called Japanese Sign Language. And we
love it too!! Did you know we have written some Japanese Sign Language
already?...Go to this web page:

Transcribing Japanese Sign Language from Video

And how is Mark Penner? We have not heard from Mark in a long time. I
hope he and his family are well?

Did you know we have a section for Japan on our web sites? Go to:

SignWriting in Japan

Here is some of the Japanese fingerspelling that we have on that page
...
