We owe Ingvild Roald a hearty thanks for informing us of this...I would
not have realized...so the work to change a few signs is worth it,
Anny, if it helps people read the signs, and makes it a more positive
experience...
The psychology of SignSpellings could become a dissertation for someone
someday! Within the SignSpelling guidelines there are several choices
for writing each sign that are all correct, from a symbol perspective.
Some of the spellings "feel better" than others...Since I am just the
technical-symbol person, I try to leave the "feeling" decisions to the
signers themselves, since you know your own language...so I can tell
you what is correct within the symbol-world...and then we can list all
the possible spellings...and then signers will start using one or the
other more until it becomes a standard spelling...that standardization
is beginning to happen, which is rather exciting, don't you
think?...smile
I think this is what Stefan calls "Gute Gestalt"...is that right,
Stefan?...
Val ;-)
