Valerie,
Thank you for your kind words :D
Its Northern Ireland Sign Language by the way - yes, we are a very strange
people at times with the use of English ;)
Looking forward to the growth of the SW's popularity in Europe - its not a
perfect system but English/Flemish-Dutch (in latin script) ain't a perfect
written system either.
Looking forward to the day when Written NISL and Written VGT can be used at
schools and books being printed and all that :D - you lots have done that
already, Val :D
A wee question - is SW being used at all at Gally? Why not ask them to go
"bilingual" proper by having 2 written languages on doors/signs etc ie
written ASL and written English? It can make SW more desirable to learn.
Shane

Subject: [sw-l] Setting up two new SignPuddles....
SignWriting List
January 20, 2005
Dear SW List Members:
I know I started Lessons in SignMaker and then stopped! That is because
we received a request to setup two new SignPuddles for two new Sign
Languages...Polish Sign Language and North-Irish Sign Language. Those
two SignPuddles will be available by the end of today...I have to
create the flag-icons and the links etc and I will announce them when
they are ready...
Once we have those two ready to go, then we can go back to learning how
to use SignMaker!
Thanks for your patience -
And welcome Poland and Northern Ireland!
Val ;-)
