[sw-l] Copy and paste between SignPuddle dictionaries

Hi List,

I'm back and ready to talk about the copy and paste between SignPuddle
dictionaries...

You do not need to be a dictionary editor to copy and paste. Anybody can do
it, using any dictionary. But only with signs that are not graphic only can
be used. ASL (sgn-US) and DGS (sgn-DE) are the 2 dictionaries with graphic
only signs. Searching for "cow" in the ASL dictionary will bring up 3
results. Each of these results is graphic only, so they can not be copied
into another dictionary.

The graphic only signs are causing many problems and will not be used in
SignPuddle International.

To make this easier and more understandable, I will be making the following
changes to the copy and paste routine.
- You will be able to search all signs, graphic only signs, or IMWA signs.
- Graphic only signs will be clearly marked with a Template option.
- The SignSearch results will populate the Dictioanry Editors screen.
- Pressing the Paste button will not be required because of an automatic
page forward.

I should have this finished sometime on Monday.

Questions, comments?
-Stephen

  Hi List,

You can now copy and paste between SignPuddle dictionaries, with 3 clicks
of the mouse.

  Directions:

  - On the Dictionary Editors screen, search for a sign

  - Find the right sign from the list and press Copy

  - Pick a flag on the bottom of the page

  - On the top-left, click the Paste button. (kind of hidden and will go
away in time)

In the near future, the Dictionary Editors screen will accepts search
results from the SignSearch application.
