Yes! Smile.

In the entire Movement Writing system, a dot can represent a limb, or  
a finger, projecting toward the reader. So here is a nice example.  
Look at the diagram.

1 shows the 5-Hand, but the thumb is forward, not to the side.
2 shows the Flat Hand, with the thumb projecting forward.
3 shows the Fist, but with the thumb projecting forward.
4 shows the L hand, and a variation using the dot. Both are correct.
5 shows the 10 hand, and all are correct...
