OK. So you mean the handshape in the middle of this attached diagram?  
You can see that it is written with the thumb line up, like we do for  
the sign for NOT in ASL...brushing under the chin oftentimes uses the  
middle handshape in many signed languages...the knuckles are facing  
left...
