Hello Stefan and Everyone!
I am really grateful for your feedback and writing and comments,  
Stefan, and this is not off the topic, but just perfect to discuss  
here...

Perhaps I can share with you that in the past few days there has been  
several email discussions, on the Sign Language Linguists List  
(SLLING) and the TeachASL List, about SignWriting. It has been a good  
discussion, but on the TeachASL List there are some teachers who are  
still against writing their own language, and have never looked at  
SignWriting. There has been some controversy. Controversy is actually  
good, because it makes people think. So writing ASL grammar actually  
touched off some anger from some teachers who feel the grammar cannot  
be written!

I want to thank so many of you, for discussing SignWriting openly  
with the ASL teachers...Stuart Thiessen's messages, and Cherie Wren,  
and Stefan's messages (smile) and so many others who use SignWriting,  
stood up for it, and that is great!

So the more we can write ASL and use the documents daily, and discuss  
writing grammar, it will help Americans take notice that it is  
possible to write...

And I know you have the same issues in Germany and other countries too!

People are basically the same all over the world, when it comes to  
new ideas and how we react to them -
