SignWriting List
October 16, 2006
Hello Ron!
Thanks for this message. What you call Hot Keys, I call the
SignWriter typing program! In other words, in SignWriter DOS Rich
Gleaves and I co-developed a way to type SignWriting symbols using
the keyboard. That design is what you call Hot Keys. But there was no
mouse capabilities in SignWriter DOS. Now in SignPuddle, Steve has
developed the mouse action, without the typing system. We know that
someday we should have both, but right now a new version of
SignPuddle is under development, that will be soooo much better than
what we have right now. It will not have keyboard typing yet, but it
will improve the entire program, giving it a firmer basis. And it
will be available on a USB flash drive, called a PocketPuddle...so
there are many cool things coming...You will be able to carry
SignPuddle and all your work in your pocket, and plug it into any
computer with a USB drive...that will not be dependent on the web...
