Creating SignWriting Documents for Printing

Hello Maria and Everyone!
I am happy when you ask questions, because that means you are using  
SignWriting!

It is amazing to see how fast you are learning and creating your own  
documents! Congratulations on this ;-))

Regarding SignBank DocumentMaker...

Look at the attached screen capture. I just created a quick little  
document based on two columns...I believe you are asking, if we just  
have one sign hanging in the next column, can we just add the next  
column and it will "wrap" or continue from column to column?

Not in the current version of DocumentMaker. In DocumentMaker, the  
columns are seen as "one long graphic image"...and in DocumentMaker,  
whatever you paste into that area for that one column, the graphic  
will be "squeezed into that space" for that one column only. So each  
column is like a "picture holder", and if you try to place more than  
one graphic, the new graphic you try to paste in, will replace the old  
one...

BUT...there is a way to solve this problem...and it is a wonderful  
solution, designed by Steve Slevinski, in SignPuddle's ColumnMaker  
program (thank you Steve!)...

Whenever you find a column that has one or two signs going to the next  
column....return to ColumnMaker, and in ColumnMaker re-size the amount  
of space between the signs, and then push the Recreate Button. The  
signs will become closer together and you can fit all into one  
column...then you can return to DocumentMaker to drag and drop the one  
column into the document...

More questions...feel free to ask anytime, and this is true for  
everyone!
