Thanks for this information...
The closest thing we have to the "sandbox" idea, is the PocketPuddle.
It is a USB stick, that has SignPuddle software on it, and it does not
require an internet connection. You can plug it into your USB port on
your computer, and create your own private dictionaries and puddles
offline...
PocketPuddles cost us money to manufacture, and the software is not
always up-to-date with what we have online, so it has its drawbacks
too...But there are several people who use PocketPuddles in the
UK...they work best on Windows, although special installation is
possible for Macs and Linux...

The software on the PocketPuddle is SignPuddle 1.5.
Later this year, our SignPuddle Online will be upgrading to the new
ISWA 2008. That will be called SignPuddle 2.0.
The PocketPuddle will not be updated to SignPuddle 2.0 software for
some time, so it uses an older version of the software...
