SignWriting List
March 2, 2009

Hello Edina!
Welcome to the SignWriting List. And thank you for joining, and for
introducing your project to List members...It is great to realize that
Hungarian Sign Language might be written now...You are the first to
ask for a SignPuddle in Hungarian Sign Language.

I am happy to tell you that I have just now created the Hungarian
SignPuddle files for your project. These are open files to the general
public as well, but when you register your name and password, and then
login each time you work, others cannot change your work, although
they can read what you add and that is exciting, to be able to share
with your co-workers and the world so quickly. And we are happy to
help you with all kinds of technical questions...how to use the
software and also how signs and documents are written in
SignWriting...so ask questions any time...

Your new Hungarian SignPuddle area can be accessed by going to
SignPuddle and clicking on the Hungarian flag (HU):

Go to SignPuddle Online
http://www.signpuddle.org

or go directly to the new Hungarian Sign Language puddle area:

Hungarian SignPuddle
http://www.signbank.org/signpuddle/index4.html#sgn-HU

Then click on the Dictionary icon to add individual signs, and the
Literature icon to add documents...

The first sign I hope you add to your Dictionary is the sign for
Hungary in Hungarian Sign Language. I need that for the Flag icon, but
our American sign is probably not the sign that you use in Hungary and
I would prefer to use your sign for your own country! So if you add
the sign to your new Dictionary file, I can then create the icon I
need...

And if you have written some signs in other SignPuddle files, while
you were waiting for me to create the Hungarian SignPuddle, we can
transfer your signs to the correct files now...I can teach you how to
do that when you are ready...

So welcome once again, and we all look forward to reading signs and
literature in Hungarian Sign Language!

Val ;-)
