SignWriting List
March 19, 2009

Hello Natasha!
This is totally fabulous...I viewed the beginning of the videotape you
mention below, and a lovely young ASL student is re-telling the Cat in
the Hat story, based on Cherie Wren's video and writing of the
document...Good to see that SignWriting Literature is contributing to
ASL Education....

The Cat in the Hat is really an ASL classic...Thank you, Natasha, for
teaching it to your students...

I hope to have the updates to the Cat in the Hat document ready by
tonight or tomorrow, in SignPuddle Online, and also on web pages, and
I will then be printing ten copies of the document here, and shipping
a box of Cat in the Hat books, plus the documents, to Birmingham,
Alabama, to the International Institute of Deaf Services...so the box
will be there waiting for Cherie when she arrives to teach on March
27-28...

Natasha...you are very welcome to send me your SignWriting documents,
written by your students or anyone...no matter what their format, and
I will be happy to post them on our SignWriting web site...all
documents are very welcome...for others too...Send them to me:

sutton at signwriting.org

and then I will announce to the List when I post them...Plus you are
always welcome to post them on your own web sites too, but I would
also like a copy for our SignWriting sites...I am creating a
SignWriting Archive, and we have places on the web for me to post
them...at this time I need to do this for you, if the documents are in
any format other than SignPuddle Online...of course you can always
write directly on SignPuddle Online...

And regarding learning the software, I am happy to help you
anytime...we can have a private meeting by voice phone or skype or
videophone, or you can ask questions to the List...so if you wish to
schedule an appointment I am happy to help - that is true for everyone -

Thanks for informing us! And please tell your student how happy I was
to see her signing Cat in the Hat...

Val ;-)
