Well, he says he is using something called ASL-E to teach deaf children English.  It is not Signed Exact English, it is not pidgin signed English, it is ASL-E.  But what he is actually doing is showing/teaching English using ASL. visually.  So he shows the ball rolling and shows the English "the ball is rolling"  and says in ASL 'is/ -ing' mean it is moving now.  He uses proximity and distance to teach this and that, and these and those.  He is trying to get interest in his system, a set of DVDs that will teach English in just a few months.  

I don't know about other schools, but our teachers do this already.
