SignWriting List
September 3, 2009
Hello Nedelina!
Welcome to the SignWriting List, and thank you for describing your
project so well below. I hope you find others to work with, on your
project. It sounds fascinating....There are linguists on this List
too, so hopefully someone will be interested...
If you would enjoy writing the signs in your Icelandic Sign Language
Dictionary project in SignWriting, I can create a free place for you
online, to start writing signs...It is called SignPuddle:
SignPuddle Online
http://www.signbank.org/signpuddle
If you go there, you will see a bunch of flags. Click on a flag to see
some of the dictionaries already created online...For example, visit
Germany, or the US, or French-Switzerland, to see some larger
databases..
At the moment we do not have a SignPuddle area for Iceland, but I will
be happy to create it if you want...write again to tell me if you want
to start writing Icelandic signs in SignPuddle...
We also have private web puddles, and SignPuddle desktop software,
although most people work online...
Ask questions here on the List any time - and best of luck with your
project -
Val ;-)
