Hi Charles!
Thanks for this message - see my answers below -

Oh. Very sorry. Yes. I did misunderstand her question. Thank you for telling me. I am still not clear what her question is, then...

If you are trying to drive the access by Icon, and a person does not see the word dicionario or enciclopedia until AFTER clicking, you get what has happened now. All of the entries in the encyclopedia section are, in fact, dictionary entries, with one sign, one word. There are only about 20 of them or so, and none of them are articles.
I see. Yes that does happen often, not just for Brazil but also for all countries in SignPuddle Online. Sometimes that happens because of confusion or not realizing where one is, but other times people actually want to have a mixture of individual signs with documents… you see the software can do both at the same time…for example, we have an ASL Bible Puddle that is a mixture of a dictionary and a literature puddle - one enormous truly huge file!
ASL Bible Puddle
http://www.signbank.org/SignPuddle1.5/index.php?ui=1&sgn=28
but I designed the SignPuddle Online giving countries three files to give people more options - I realized later that confusion occurred - the biggest one is the Saudi Arabian Literature Puddle, which is really a dictionary and the writers have asked me to move the files to the dictionary but I have not had a chance to do that yet -
I know this is a long answer and not much help, but at least it explains what is happening with SignPuddle Online right now - I think it would be great to clean all this up - smile - but no matter what, the data is all there, and it is easy to move data from one file to the other -

> There does not seem to be a way, other than editing, to show near identical entries for the same sign, I go through the dictionary about twice a month to look, and find very small differences between signs for "eu", and "me" which are so close as to be microscopically different. I wish there were a way to have a universal forum of Brazilian sign language users to agree on what constitutes a "minimal pair".
Ah. Well, that is for those like yourself, and like Eda, who know LIBRAS. I agree that the LIBRAS groups could decide that they wish to use the SignPuddle Dictionary for LIBRAS one way, and store other kinds of data in one of the other files - I can make empty SignPuddle files for anyone who asks, under the Brazilian links area:
http://www.signbank.org/signpuddle/index3.html#sgn-BR
So tell me if you want that, but the best way I think is to keep just the three files:
Dictionary
Literature
Encyclopedia
and then inside the Dictionary, come to an agreement with your fellow writers and tag or mark signs to be this or that…that can be done within the dictionary - other countries are doing that right now -

Ah. I see. Tell me what you find out, and if you as a group want changes I am happy to make them -
Val ;-)
