Symposium: sheet paper dimension A4 or Letter

I printed my documents in Brazil in A4, but when I prepared for the symposium I printed it in American Letter and scanned it in PDF. In PDF, at least, it can be scaled to whatever print size. I don't like that solution, but it is the best I can find. 


I may have to reset the entire thing in PowerPoint to do what I want, but it is a start.

Hello,
 
in Canada, and in USA we use the paper size "Letter".  Each time I print in European format "A4", my pages are to short and formatted documents become awful.
 
For the symposium what is the page format so everybody can print nice documents?
