[Sw-l] handshape orientation with fingers pointing down

If SUITCASE is signed similarly to what it is in ASL, it is a tricky one with just the hand symbol alone. That is why it really should have an arm line to make it more clear. Here is how I would write it.

As far as what the symbol that you asked means, here is an image my hand taken from the hands symbol book that can be found in Lessons on the website.

When you try rotating the hand around the front wall circle, the hand seems to want to turn over when it is facing down. When your fingers are pointing up, the thumb naturally faces the signer. But when the hand has rotated half way through the circle and the fingers are pointing down, with the thumb pointing to the signer, the posture is very awkward and has to be very uncommon. But if you turn the hand around, so that the thumb points to the viewer, that is a fairly normal posture.
