SignWriting List
November 28, 2021

Hello Steve, and everyone on the SignWriting List -

Thank you, Steve, for the firm foundation you are providing for SignWriting software development on the internet. We are all blessed by your ongoing dedication, support and vision. Yes, 2022 will be a year of accomplishment. The inspiration is already in the air...I can feel it sparkle…

And thank you to everyone who are working, writing, teaching and programming with SignWriting… Your vision is needed and I am so looking forward to working with you when I can -

It is amazing to observe all that is happening with writing sign languages … thanks to all of you!

Val ;-)

Advanced searching, sorting, and styling are all possible with a detailed specification and implementation. Our fonts are universal with additional solutions for the future. Our software is available on GitHub and NPM with ongoing support for our technical platform and our legacy server.

If we recreate the standards, we have unbounded freedom. This freedom comes at the cost of recreating a technical platform and the possibility that the new solution doesn't solidify into something useful.
