[Sw-l] Sign Maker - Collecting ideas for faster writing

Dear Jonathan,

Thank you for sharing the link to signEditor. It's nice that there are
several and that you can try them out and that new ideas can also arise in
this way.

I got to know your tool and find it interesting. The idea of placing
symbols on a human image is a good one. :) You can find the symbols better
there.

Did I understand correctly that you need a keyboard AND a mouse? Selection
of symbols with the mouse and selection of rotation and localization with
the keyboard. Oh and also finer selection, e.g. arrow for right or left
hand.

What interests me is the criteria according to which the hand shapes are
grouped.
According to Papaspyrou, DGS has 30 phonemes. And we haven't been able to
group them to our satisfaction. Therefore, we have all shwon neutral. Only
the placement of the hand shapes is deliberately chosen. Similar ones lie
next to each other.

We cannot take over grouping by numbers at signPuddle, as it is still
difficult for us to choose the right group when we are looking for a
certain hand shape.
