[Sw-l] Publishing with columns of SignWriting

Hi SignWriting List,

If you are involved with publishing and SignWriting, you may be using 
the ColumnMaker feature of SignPuddle 2.

Recently, two different people had trouble with ColumnMaker.  The first 
was using a custom automation script for mass column file creation.  The 
second was trying to download SVG columns together as a zip.

In an effort to support them and others with their publishing efforts, I 
plan to add the ColumnMaker functionality to the 
@sutton-signwriting/font-db package.  I started today and I hope to be 
finished this month.

This new functionality will support advanced ColumnMaker options and 
scripting for mass column creation using SVG or PNG images.  Once I have 
the ColumnMaker feature completed, I will create a new episode of the 
SignWriting stream to showcase the development.

If you are involved with SignWriting publishing, please tell me about 
it.  I believe this new development will be helpful and I'd love to 
support any needs you have.

Eventually, I'd like to support PDF creation with the font-db package as 
well, but this will probably need to wait until next year.
