Hi Uta,
I was just thinking about the hand groups that are labeled with numbers 1
to 10, and those numbers' handshape are in American Sign Language (ASL). As
an ASL user, it's been a great reference point for me to look up and find a
specific handshape as I write the signs.
However, I just realized that the sign language of other countries may not
recognize these labels as numbers. They may have different handshapes for
numbers. If that's the case, it would be more challenging for them to use
these ASL-numbered labels as a reference - but not impossible.
