Hi Val,
I believe that I understand the general movement arrowhead. I know that you
and Adam do not use B) MOVE. But, some signwriters did use it. I think
that you and Adam will explain the general movement arrowhead like
ASK (LSQ)
Best regards,
André

SignWriting List
February 17, 2022
Hello João, Andre and so many others on the SignWriting List!
I am so glad to see you here on the SignWriting List, João...
You'll get faster answers to your questions. It is better than writing to me
privately on Facebook Messenger. When I am unable to answer, others on the
SignWriting List can give you their perspective and the discussion becomes
much more valuable for everyone.
So thank you for posting your question below. Adam and I are scheduled to
meet about this very topic late Saturday afternoon.
For several years Adam and I have talked about writing another textbook,
this time on Movement Symbols. I believe that the new textbook should
probably be all video.
Maybe some of you on the SignWriting List can help us do this? We could all
contribute to showing how we write and when we do that it will show others
how to write too.
The General Movement Arrowhead has a purpose when writing mime and gesture.
We need right, left and general for gesture writing, but for everyday use it
may be that you are showing us a new path that would help speed daily
writing and in that way I commend you for bringing it up.
And there are other new developments that are quite remarkable.
This is going to be a fun new era and I look forward to working with all of
you very much.
I probably won't be back on my computer until tomorrow afternoon so sorry
for the delay...
Talk to you tomorrow -
Val ;-)
