HI all and Steve :)
I am opening a new topic here, so that the other topic "Presentation of the
sign search" stays at its core.
It is about sorting dominant and recessive hands.
In SWUs this information can be stored.
Am I right that this information does not exist in the old SymbolIds?
What is the best solution to generate SWUs with information about
dominant/recessive hands at the end?
Of course it is not possible to generate from a thing with little
information a thing with more information.
My problem is that we have very very many sign writings. And if we convert
these and extend the sign search with dominant and recessive hand, then we
can't find any signs. Right?
Any ideas which way we can go to save us work?
My thoughts:
On the gesture images, the conclusions are mostly correct when left hand is
recessive and right hand is dominant. The exception is when the hands are
crossed. -> first right hand -> dominant, second hand from right ->
recessive
BUT only: if it is a simple gesture. So one head and 1-2 hands. And the
second hand is not an end-handshape.
I hope there is a simple good solution.
Best regards
Uta
