Hello SignWriting List members!

My dear friends - It is a privilege to share discussions of SignWriting symbols and evolving writing styles with you. Thank you for your interest and your important projects.

I hope to start a series of discussions now - on 6 topics that seem to be important, partly because our textbooks and instruction materials need to be improved, and partly because writing styles and choices by writers have changed and are evolving over the years...

SignWriting is evolving because it is a true writing system used on a daily basis around the world. That is a wonderful fact with thousands of writers daily...

Here is what I hope to discuss in the next few months...

Six Topics

1. Viewpoints, Space & Planes

2. General Arrowhead

3. Arm Rotation

4. Wrist Flexing

5. Torso & Body Movement

6. Dynamics & Punctuation


So I hope to start posting on these topics - in fact I can see we already have questions about Torso Movements and Wrist Flexing - thank you for your messages -
