With less than a month to go until GLAMhack26
<https://opendata.ch/events/glamhack2026/>, we’re delighted to announce
that, thanks to new partners and a reorganisation of the space at SKKG’s
Campo, we can welcome 20 additional participantsto this year’s hackathon.

After reaching full capacity and placing interested participants on a
waiting list, we’re excited to open these extra spots and welcome even
more people to what promises to be one of the largest editions of
GLAMhack yet, with 120 participants already registered.

Places are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, so
don’t wait!

The 11th edition of the Swiss Open Cultural Data Hackathon, GLAMhack26,
will take place in Winterthur on 13–14 November 2026.

Organised in partnership with the Stiftung für Kunst, Kultur und
Geschichte (SKKG), GLAMhack26 brings together cultural institutions,
software developers, GLAM professionals (galleries, libraries, archives
and museums), digital humanists, artists, Wikipedians, researchers and
creative technologists to explore new ideas and foster innovation in the
cultural heritage sector.

This year’s theme is Hack the Gap – Bridging Analog and Digital Worlds.
Over two days of collaborative hacking, participants will develop
creative ideas and innovative prototypes exploring how cultural heritage
can move fluidly between the physical and digital realms, enabling
broader access, deeper understanding and more inclusive participation.
