[Tibeto-burman-linguistics] research by Shintani Tadahiko on SE Asian languages

Dear All,


Shangke (or similar spelling) is the name given to a Tangsa variety; the autonym is Shecyü. As far as I know, this variety is a lingua franca in parts of Burma, particularly Nanyun township area in northern Sagaing division. On the Indian side a closely related variety, Chamchang (spelled Cyamcyang in Myanmar and called Kimsing by many people), is the language used by Churches adhering to the Tangsa Baptist Churches Association (TBCA).


I'd clearly be interested in seeing the document.

No, I checked, they aren't available, as least not from the press, electronically, but Nathan Straub sent me a scan of the Wadamkhong book. I assume we can share it on the list if there is interest.
