Welcome to the seminar ”Nordic and Russian Sámi Literatures in Ecocritical and Postcolonial Perspectives”, which will take place at the University of Helsinki in Metsätalo building (Unioninkatu 40, room 6) on 24 November 2023.


The seminar is open for everyone. The seminar is organised by the projects “Northern neighbours: Environment and modernisation in the literatures of the Russian Arctic” (Kone Foundation) and “Imperialism in vernacular terms: Appraising the coloniality of folklore, tradition and heritage through and by the Nenets” (Academy of Finland).
