> Stockholm University and the Institute for Language and Folklore (Isof) invite you to the conference Perspectives on the Revitalisation of Minority Languages IV, which will take place on 15–16 October 2026 in Stockholm. The conference aims to highlight both current research and experiences from practical work on the revitalisation of minority languages, and to create a meeting place where researchers, practitioners, and other stakeholders engaged in minority languages and language revitalisation can exchange knowledge and share perspectives.

> This year’s conference places particular emphasis on the role of education in the revitalisation of minority languages, focusing on how a well-functioning educational continuum from preschool to higher education – can contribute to the long-term preservation and development of these languages. At the same time, the conference welcomes contributions that explore language revitalisation from a broad range of perspectives, such as language policy, intergenerational language transmission, the work of civil society, and various forms of revitalisation initiatives.
