Subject:MSA role in Morocco query

In a superb paper by Bentahila, A. "Motivations for Code-Switching
Among Arab-French Bilinguals in Morocco".*Language & Communication*
3/3, pp. 233--243. 1983, the author does not mention MSA at all. May
one infer that MSA is not a 'major player' in educated Moroccan speech??
