The Less-Commonly-Taught Languages Center of the Department of Linguistics,
University of Pittsburgh, seeks applications for one position of an
Assistant Instructor (non tenure-stream) to begin on September 1, 2013
through April 30, 2014.

Qualification Requirements:  Native or near native fluency in Arabic and
excellent command of English; M.A. in Arabic or related field; experience
in teaching Modern Standard Arabic and Egyptian or Levantine at the college
level at all levels of proficiency.  The position will have responsibility
for teaching 4 classes (one of which may be an administrative slot) in the
Center in the fall and spring terms.

Salary and benefits:  Access to Pitt's retirement program and full medical
benefits. Salary range depends on qualifications and experience.
