A non-CJ "tyhee"

There's the "tyee salmon," a.k.a. chinook salmon, a.k.a. king salmon.  
Is it more likely that the name "Tyhee"  here from 1866 is in fact the CJ term as used by Gitxsan-speakers when talking with Boston men?
