I wasn't offended, nor was I objecting to your discussions of
semiotics and neuroscience. In fact, I strongly support both
neuroscience and semiotics as important ways of gaining insight
into linguistic, philosophical, and computational issues

Following are the slides I presented at the BICA Conference
(Biologically Inspired Cognitive Architectures):

    http://www.jfsowa.com/talks/bionlp.pdf
    Biological and Psycholinguistic Influences
On Architectures for Natural Language Processing

And following is a more theoretical paper that analyzes linguistic and
philosophical issues in terms of Peirce's semiotics and Wittgenstein's
language games:

    http://www.jfsowa.com/pubs/rolelog.pdf
The Role of Logic and Ontology in Language and Reasoning

The point I make in this paper is that logic and ontology are both
abstractions *from* language -- *not* the foundations for language.

Following is the point I was objecting to:

No human being on earth can do that. It should not be a criterion
for an intelligent system.
