E-prime question

I have made up a recall task where participants are required to type
words in response to picture stimuli. I have set up E-prime so that it
accepts the backspace key. However, sometimes when participants press the
backspace key twice during a single response item E-prime shuts down. The
problem seems to be specific to Dell computers (but not Dell laptops). I
was wondering whether anyone else has come across the problem and whether
there is a way to fix it?
