Rice University's department of linguistics is pleased to announce the Eigth
Biennial Rice Symposium on Linguistics to be held at Rice University
(Houston, Tx) April 6-9, 2000.  This year's theme is 'Causation and
Interpersonal Manipulation in the Languages of Central and South America'.
