Dear Shahid,

The Russians have a very old saying, "*Kuritsa ne ptitsa, zhenshchina ne
chelovek*" which translates to "Just as a chicken is not a bird, a woman is
not a person." They also have the expression "*devichaia pamiat'*" which
means "female memory"; this is the expression that men and women alike use
to describe their memory when they can't remember something. For example, if
you can't remember where you put something and you say "where did I put
that" the response from someone nearby could be something like "well, it
looks like you have *devichaia pamiat'*".

Best,
Lisa
