A message from IGALA President, Holly Cashman:

IGALA is delighted to announce a new editorial team stepping into the roles of co-editors and reviews editor at Gender & Language!

Rodrigo Borba (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro), Mie Hiramoto (National University of Singapore) and Kira Hall (University of Colorado at Boulder) will be the new co-editors of the journal, and Federica Formato (University of Brighton) will be the new book reviews editor. We congratulate the new editorial team, and thank them for their willingness to take on this enormous responsibility that is such important work for IGALA and for the field of gender, sexuality, and language.

Of course, we would be remiss if we did not also take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to the incredibly hard-working and very successful editorial team that has served two terms as co-editors: Carmen Rosa Caldas-Coulthard, who stepped down at the end of June, and Tommaso Milani, who will step down at the end of December, along with book reviews editor Cecilia Chiacchio, who also stepped down at the end of June. We cannot capture the extent to which we appreciate their unwavering dedication, their excellent stewardship, their keen scholarly minds, and their vision for the growth of the journal. Under their leadership, the impact factor and H index of Gender & Language increased, the journal grew to four issues per year, and students were mentored at each conference through a workshop on academic publishing.
