Yes we do, in the given context there is no doubt that Taylor meant
that none of the arguments convince. A 'nichtzwingendes Argument' is
an argument that is unable to proof anything, although it may not be
inherently wrong.  Unfortunately, Taylor does not engage in a
discussion of these arguments either so he refrains from saying
anything stronger than just that they do not convince in proving a
ling between Eruli and Scandinavia (which is obvious from the nature
of the arguments). His failure to discuss the arguments is a major
short comming of the article, but I suppose he was pressed for space
and felt that it was not important enough. Hence, he simply states
that he finds none of them able to prove a link between the Eruli and
Scandinavia.
