Anno is of course the derivation from latin 'annona', which was part 
of the payment for Roman soldiers. As such it is a borrowing from 
Latin.

I think Gothic 'Harjatuga' is equivalent to Old Saxon 'Haratog, 
Hartog', i.e. modern German 'Herzog', which means Dux, Duke. The 
world includes a first element meaning 'army' and a second element, 
which is cognate to modern German 'ziehen'.

Yes, still used in modern German words like Fussvolk, meaning 
infantry.
