Indeed, this must be a misidentification, because the
Hungarian "runes" (more correctly: runiform writing) or "rovas iras"
are derivated basicly from the Old Turkic "runes" (Orkhon and Yenisei
runiform writings), completed with some letters from the Cyrillic or
Glagolitic alphabet, thus they originated later.
