new audiovisual materials for the promotion of CHILDES

Dear all,

 

We are happy to announce the following new audiovisual materials for the
promotion of CHILDES: 

 

1.          A 12-minute video clip "CHILDES and bilingual corpora" produced
by Uta Lam and our team at the Chinese University of Hong Kong where Brian
MacWhinney and Virginia Yip

discussed the origin and evolution of CHILDES in the last two decades. The
dialogue took place in June 2007 at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. It
also covers a number of milestones (innovative technology, multimedia
features, diversity of languages and automatic morphosyntactic analysis) and
the construction of bilingual corpora.
