[Lexicog] Humour, OTT completely

Not sure who actually wrote this, but there's a response below
Although, Klink did have a monocle, which is the classic Anglophone
trademark of a German officer. Is it so for Germans, as a classic mark of a
Prussian officer, I wonder?   

 In the British comedy series about the German occupation of France in WWII
- "'Allo,'allo", the monocle was one of the marks of an SS officer (of
course, along with slicked-back hair and shiny leather raincoat, a limp and
walking stick!)
