Applications are invited for:-

Department of Linguistics and Modern Languages
Research Associate Professor(s) / Research Assistant Professor(s)

The Department is a young and vibrant Department established in 2004. It
now invites applications for two research professoriate posts in (A)
bilingualism/second language acquisition; and (B)
psycholinguistics/language disorders.

Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in a related discipline; (ii)
strong
commitment to excellence in research and teaching; and (iii) outstanding
accomplishments and research potential. The appointees will (a) conduct
research in Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland; (b) apply for new
grants; (c) coordinate research projects; (d) publish peer-reviewed papers;
(e) liaise with collaborators within the region; and (f) be involved in
teaching
and related administrative duties.

Appointments will initially be made on contract basis for up to three years
commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to performance,
funding and mutual agreement.

Salary and Fringe Benefits:
Salary will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and
experience. The University offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package
including medical care, a contract-end gratuity for appointments of two
years or longer, and housing benefits for eligible appointees.
