[lg policy] Sharing images on lgpolicy-list

Dear members,

There has been a recent reminder to the list that sharing images
that accompany messages, or even sharing them without any
other text will result in the image not being sent. I don't know if
this is a rule set by google/gmail or if it is determined locally, but
the upshot is that one should not expect images to go through.

What I do when I send or forward a message is to assume that
the image won't go through, but those who wish to see the image(s)
can click on the url and see what is missing. As for other ways of
sharing images that are relevant to our listserv I have set up a separate
site where cartoons and language maps can be placed, but only I as
moderator can put things there. I wish there were a way for everybody
on the listserv to be able to share images, but I'm not aware of one.

Best,

HS
