[Linganth] FW: Word Gap intervention evaluation studies?

Just chiming in with two points.

The Language and Social Justice Committee has compiled a bibliography of
written critiques of the "word gap", which is available here
<http://linguisticanthropology.org/socialjustice/initiatives/language-gap-teaching-resources/>
(on the SLA site) along with some teaching resources we have been putting
together on this topic.

My sense is the same as Michele's that there just hasn't been much good
work on evaluating implementations, and that sadly, the Brown study that
Kit mentions is one of the most substantive out there. This would certainly
be a valuable angle for future research for sure! (The relationship between
Providence Talks and Brown University is very interesting and quite complex
- I've learned a little about it during my time here and am happy to talk
to anyone about it offline).
