[Linganth] Linguistics and health equity - Linganth Digest, Vol 73, Issue 15

Hello all,

Not specific to COVID, but I came across this article recently (Udvardi
2019, attached) and have found it helpful in conveying the value of
linguistic research to my doctor and scientist colleagues. I've recently
transitioned from an academic position to a more applied role in health
outcomes research (Nicklaus Children's, Miami). My primary area expertise
has been the negotiation of social identities in interaction (esp.
racial/ethnic, national, & religious). So, this discussion is very helpful
for me as I think about how to bring ling anth theory and methodology to
bear on health equity research.

Thanks much,
Evie
