Subject:  Job opening in Spanish phonology
 
The Department of Spanish and Portuguese at the University of Texas at
Austin anticipates one tenure-track Assistant Professorship in Spanish
Linguistics, beginning September 1, 1996.  Area of specialization: Spanish
phonology/Spanish-American dialectology.  Ph.D. required.  Applicants must
demonstrate a clear commitment to both research and teaching.  Duties will
involve graduate and undergraduate teaching, including language instruction
and course supervision.  Funding for all positions subject to
administrative approval.  Post complete dossier, including letter of
intent, CV, and three reference letters, by November 15, 1995.  All
