We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

Mr Fred Pilcher at the national office of Language Australia (formerly
known as the National Languages and Literacy Institute of Australia),
has compiled a questionnaire on our database systems, which is
available on the Web.

It is designed for users of the database systems to respond to Mr Pilcher
directly, using Web forms. We would appreciate very much if recipients of
this list who have used the databases could select one of the questionnaries
and fill it in. It's straightforward; each database has its own Web form
(fill in the blanks, select an option, etc.).

The URL for the questionnaires is:

	http://www.cltr.uq.oz.au:8000/nllia

Then select the questionnaire option.

Thanks

Peter White

Good morning/evening. Do any fellow LL subscribers know of languages
that use more than one epenthetic vowel? I recall from some years ago
hearing a paper by Juliette Blevins discussing a language that had
both an epenthetic i (phonological?) and an epenthetic schwa
(phonetic?). Are you familiar with anything similar? Most
appreciatively yours, Debbie Schmidt dschmidt at uga.cc.uga.edu
