We are looking for people having a very strong background in Linguistics
and a deep understanding of languages such as English, French and
Spanish. Experience with computers, a strong academic background in one
or more languages, and imagination in combining software development
with conceptual linguistics are important factors that will be
considered as well. Also important is the willingness to learn about a
variety of programming languages and an interest in natural
language-based software development in general.

SEEKING NEW FULL-TIME PROFESSORS

Position Requirements: Applicants should be specialists in teaching
English or Japanese (including courses in basic theory and applications,
such as listening, speaking, reading,writing, interpretation,
translation, computer-aided instruction, multimedia instruction, etc.)

Qualifications:
1) Ph.D. in related fields.
2) Native speakers, or possessing language ability equivalent to
   native speakers.
3) Eligible for a certificate issued by the Ministry of Education,
   with a good teaching record.
4) Outstanding achievements inresearch.
5) Ideals and enthusiasm for teaching.
6) In addition to professional skills, those who have other
   specialties (e.g., can teach two or more languages or fields, etc.)

Deadline: Applications must be received by December 31, 1999.
